Cachet ("we", "the app") is designed to collect as little as possible. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use the app.
When you identify an item, the photo you capture or select is sent to our identification service, which forwards it to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a result. Images are processed to produce your identification and are not stored on our servers after the request completes. We do not use your photos to train models. Anthropic processes the image under its own terms and does not retain it for training.
Your scan history and saved collection are stored only on your device. We do not upload, sync, or have access to them. Deleting the app removes this data.
Purchases are handled by Apple and by our subscription provider, RevenueCat, which processes a non-identifying purchase token to manage your subscription and restore purchases. We do not receive your payment details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for how it handles this data.
We do not require an account, do not collect your name or contact information, and do not use third-party advertising or analytics tracking.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the effective date above.
